For cross-border commuters · frontaliers, Grenzgänger

Two countries, two tax offices.
Find the proof both want.

Home-office days, the A1 certificate, the employer’s attestation, the residency certificate: each country asks for its own proof, in its own language. KIAgent reads your mail, calendar and the letters you photograph, on your own computer, so ChatGPT or Claude can find it when your adviser asks.

The days from your calendar, the attestation and the A1, in one answer with the originals.
One commute, two systems

Your paperwork crosses the border twice a day.

Over 230,000 people commuted into Luxembourg alone in early 2024. Each of them keeps two sets of paper: the payslip and certificate from the country of work, the tax notice from home, the A1, the S1, the attestation for every home-office day, in two or three languages, across two inboxes.

A letter with a window

Some choices close for good. Know what’s missing in time.

The health-insurance choice for France–Switzerland commuters has a short window from your first working day. Photograph the letter, ask what it wants and what you have, and get it in English with the documents linked.

  • Letters in French or German read on your computer
  • Explained in English by the AI you already use
  • The date that matters, read from your contract and the letter
  • What you already have, and what’s missing
The insurance option, explained, with the unstamped form named.
Saved and filed

Two countries of paper. One set of folders.

Drop payslips, notices and photographed letters into Incoming, and KIAgent reads each one and moves it into your folders, by rules you write in plain English, whichever language the letter is in.

  • Rules in your own words
  • Letters read in French, German or English, filed by what they say
  • Ordinary folders you can open, back up or hand to your adviser
  • If a file can’t be filed, it’s shown to you, never lost
Incoming: two countries’ papers filed into Taxes, Social security, Health and Payslips.
Two tax systems

Taxed twice at source? Find which payslips and why.

The residency certificate from home tells the employer how much to withhold. Ask which payslips were deducted in full and when HR got the certificate, and bring both to your adviser.

  • Withholding read from each payslip
  • When you sent the certificate, from your sent mail
  • A note to HR or payroll drafted in French or German, sent only by you
Three months of full withholding, and the date HR got the certificate.
How it works

Save, add, ask.

01

Save every document

Payslips, notices, photographed letters: into your Incoming folder, even from your phone via iCloud or Google Drive. KIAgent files them.

02

Add mail and calendar

Work and personal mail, and the calendar where you mark home-office days. Read on your computer.

03

Ask in English

In ChatGPT or Claude: how many home days, where’s the A1, what does this letter want. Every answer links the original.

Every message, sorted

HR, two tax offices, two insurers. One list.

Mail and chats from both countries land in Messages, sorted from your work and personal mail into Life admin, with bills and notices marked, whatever language they’re in.

  • Work and personal mail, WhatsApp and Telegram in one list
  • Sorted into Work, Personal and Life admin on your computer
  • Notices and bills marked as what they are
  • Your AI can search all of it, in any language
Messages, Life admin: two tax offices, two insurers and the pension fund, together.
The A1 certificate

When does your A1 run out? Ask HR before it does.

If you work part of the week from home, your social security may depend on an A1 certificate, and it expires. Ask when, and get a short request to HR in their language, ready in your Outbox.

  • The certificate and its end date, found in your mail
  • What HR said about it, in one place
  • A request drafted in French or German, sent only by you
The end date, and the request to renew, before it lapses.

Your documents, your computer

Two countries of tax papers don’t belong in another cloud.

Everything KIAgent reads stays on your own computer. When you ask your AI about a letter, only what the answer needs goes to it, and every lookup is on the record.

Your documents stay on your computer
Payslips, tax notices and certificates are read and stored here, not on our servers.
Letters read on your computer
Text recognition for photos and scans runs locally. Nothing is uploaded to read them.
You decide what goes to your AI
When you ask ChatGPT or Claude, only the passages that answer needs go to it. Folders you don’t add are never read.
Every lookup is logged
See what your AI looked up, and when. Revoke an app’s access in one click.
Remove it, and it’s gone
Remove a folder or account and everything read from it is deleted too.
Open source
Read every line of what touches your documents.
Your AI asked — every request, every app, on your machine.
Honest answers

The questions a skeptic actually asks.

Not by itself. If you mark home-office days in your calendar or mention them in mail, your AI can find and count those entries, and link each one. The rules on what counts, and the limits, differ by country pair and change, so check them with your adviser.

No. KIAgent reads your documents and your AI explains them, in English, with links to the originals. Which country taxes what is a question for your tax adviser or the tax office.

Any. Mail and documents in French, German, Dutch or English are searchable the same way: France or Germany to Switzerland, France, Belgium or Germany to Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Belgium to Germany.

Pick any folder on your computer as Incoming, for example your iCloud Drive or Google Drive folder, and save photos or scans of your letters there from your phone. KIAgent reads each new one and files it by your rules. It doesn’t reach into your phone’s photo library by itself.

Only what an answer needs, when you ask through it, and every lookup is logged on your computer. Don’t add a folder you never want an AI to read from, or remove it later and everything read from it is deleted.

Yes. Everything on your own computer is free and open source. The only paid option is remote access, so ChatGPT or Claude on your phone can reach your computer, handy at the counter of the office.
