For your archives · Takeout, Outlook, Evernote, old drives

Every archive you ever exported.
Finally useful.

You downloaded your Google Takeout, kept the old Outlook file, exported Evernote before you left it. Then the zips sat in Downloads. KIAgent reads all of it on your own computer, mail, notes, chats, documents, scans and voice memos, and lets ChatGPT or Claude answer from it. Years of what you knew, back to work.

Put your exports in a folder, add it to KIAgent, ask in ChatGPT or Claude.
Downloaded. Never opened.

Your past is a pile of zips.

Ten years of client mail in a file only an old Outlook can open. Notes from a service you left. A family chat exported before you changed phones. The archive is complete, and completely useless, because nothing can read it as one.

Your expertise, back at work

Ten years of work, asked like a colleague.

Every quote you wrote, every problem you solved for a client, every supplier who let you down is still in those archives. Ask Claude or ChatGPT across all of them at once, and turn what you learned into prices, checklists, a workshop or a book.

  • Old Outlook, Gmail and Word files answered as one
  • Patterns across years, not one email at a time
  • Every answer names the archive and folder it came from
  • Draft from it: a guide, a course outline, a price list
Six years of quotes, from an Outlook file, a Takeout and old Word documents.
How it works

Export, drop, ask.

01

Export what you have

Google Takeout, your Outlook file, Evernote, WhatsApp or Instagram. Or just plug in the old drive.

02

Put it in a folder

KIAgent opens zips and mail archives where they are. Nothing to unpack, nothing uploaded.

03

Ask about any year

Search it in the app, or ask ChatGPT or Claude. Every answer names the archive it came from.

Not just work

The stories are in there too.

Voice memos from people who aren’t around to ask any more. Photos of letters in a family chat. Notes from a trip you’d half forgotten. KIAgent transcribes the recordings and reads the photos and scans on your computer, so they answer like everything else.

  • Voice memos transcribed on your computer
  • Photos and scans in chat exports read as text
  • Notes, chats and mail from the same years, side by side
  • Nothing uploaded to read it
A voice memo, two photos in a family chat and an old note, in one answer.

Your past, on your computer

Your archive already outlived one service.

The point of exporting was to get your data back. KIAgent keeps it that way: everything is read and stored on your own computer, and every AI lookup is on the record.

Your archive stays on your computer
Nothing is uploaded to read it. The exports stay where you put them.
Scans and recordings read here
Text recognition and transcription run on your computer, mostly while you’re away from it.
You choose which AI sees what
Ask ChatGPT or Claude, or keep it all on a local model.
Every lookup is logged
See what your AI asked about your past, and when.
Remove it, and it’s gone
Remove a source in KIAgent and everything read from it is deleted too.
Open source. It outlives us
Your archives already outlived one service. KIAgent won’t lock them into another.
Your AI asked — every request, every app, on your machine.
Honest answers

The questions a skeptic actually asks.

Google Takeout mail (.mbox, even inside the Takeout zips), Outlook data files (.pst), saved mails (.eml, .msg, Apple Mail), Thunderbird, Evernote (.enex), WhatsApp and Instagram exports, contacts (.vcf), Word, RTF, PDF, scans and voice memos.

No. Zips are opened where they are, including the mail inside a Google Takeout zip. Your original files are never changed.

No. Everything is read and stored on your own computer. When you ask ChatGPT or Claude something, only what that answer needs goes to it, and every lookup is logged. Use the local model and nothing leaves your computer.

Mail and documents are searchable soon after you add them. Scans and recordings take longer, because they’re read on your computer, and KIAgent does most of that while you’re not using it.

Not yet. Newer Outlook .ost files and Facebook or X archives aren’t read today. If you need one, request it on GitHub; it helps us decide what comes next.
